Founded in 2021, the Chicago Portagers are dedicated to building a new home for box lacrosse in Chicago. Our semi-professional team competes against other Midwest teams, providing collegiate and post-collegiate athletes an opportunity to elevate their game. Our accomplishments include being the BLL Eastern Conference champions in 2022, 2023, and 2024, BLL runner-up in 2023, BLL National Champions in 2024, and having the largest social media following among our peer set.
Our leadership team, with years of experience in sports management and building organizations from the ground up, is passionate about growing the game of lacrosse and having fun along the way. Named after the hardy venturers portaging from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi River through the old Chicago marshlands, we present to you the Chicago Portagers.
